Northern lights tonight in Wisconsin

Wisconsin's aurora line runs along its north shore. Newport is the state's only International Dark Sky Park and looks north-east over Lake Michigan from the tip of Door County, so a Kp 5–6 arc stands over water with Green Bay's glow behind you rather than in front. Bayfield and the Apostle Islands face Superior at 56° magnetic latitude and are a full step darker; the Northern Highland forest is the inland option when the lake shore is fogged in. From Milwaukee and Madison it takes a G2 storm and a two-hour drive north.
